Sharing the love of Jesus
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Praise God for the greatest gift ever given, over 2000 years ago, when Jesus humbled himself and came to Earth as a baby, who grew up to one day give his life for all of our sins. What a gracious and merciful God!
This Christmas is extra special for us as it is our first Christmas as a family of four! We thank God for Zane, above all for keeping him healthy and safe from any “Zika” scares we may have had. He was born healthy and strong, 8lb 13oz and 22in long with no signs of Zika effects, thanks to God! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes, all of us are doing well and adjusting to life as a family of four. Elliam loves his baby brother, (sometimes a little too much ;) ) but at times gets a little jealous, which is expected, but a little difficult to deal with at times. We also thank God for allowing Elliam to celebrate his third birthday on Tuesday. He is a very energetic, silly, helpful little boy, who is always very good at sharing his food/snacks with everyone, and loves Captain America. We thank God for him!
The kids at the mission were excited on Friday with all of their gifts from thegenerous people who sent presents for them. Last week we had over 100 kids come for hamburgers, cake, candy and a pinata. This Friday we had close to 100 again, so we gave our gifts to the kids who consistently attend at the mission, and some people from our church and their truck racing group brought more toys for the rest of the children who came. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to bless these kids and their families. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, you know who you are!
We also ask you to please continue praying for Eleazar’s process with immigration as we should hopefully be receiving word soon in order to start the second step, which is asking for a pardon. Thank you in advance; we know that God is in control and everything is in His hands!
May God pour out His blessings upon you and your loved ones! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
